UNICEF: An Organization Bridging Hope for Children Around the World
The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund was established on December 11, 1946, by the United Nations General Assembly. Originally known as the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, UNICEF was created to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries devastated by World War II.
